LIMERICK LANE Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley, Bedrock Vineyard 2018

Coming from one of the oldest and most famous vineyards in all of California, the Bedrock Vineyard, these vines were first planted in 1854 which is absolutely mind-boggling to think about. A field blend consisting mostly of Zinfandel and a variety of other grapes, this wine is aged for 17 months in neutral French oak barrels. An explosion of aromas consisting of boysenberry, candied blackberry, tobacco, tilled earth and graphite create an irresistible nose. It’s a structured wine that is chewy, full-bodied with spicy tannins and full-black fruit flavors on the palate. The other varietals in the wine create this old, dusty road component to the wine that is irresistible. Only 106 cases produced.
