This sensational Pinot Noir comes from the Shea Vineyard, which is managed by the iconic winemaker Dick Shea. As this begins to open it releases pretty aromatics of black cherries, anise, pine sap, forest floor, wild blackberry and hints of baking spices all taking shape in the glass. There is tremendous minerality on the palate, which is followed by bright flavors of red cherries, red raspberries, teaberry, pomegranate and blood orange rind. The compelling combination of feminine and masculine characteristics make this simply impossible to resist. While this is already offering plenty of early appeal, it would be recommended to allow this some air contact if approaching early on. (Best 2017-2029) - April, 2017 (OB)
