The 2014 'Reserve' Chardonnay from Lemelson is an outstanding wine that will cellar marvelously for likely a decade. There are lovely hints of toasty oak immediately on the nose, followed by aromas of butterscotch, mango, white peach and golden delicious apple. This leads to ripe flavors of Granny Smith apple, vanilla cream, crème brulee, butterscotch and Japanese pear tart. This shows wonderful length, mid-palate weight and a smooth mouthfeel, as the beautiful and lasting finish carries on. (Best 2017-2025) - April, 2017 (OB)
