PONZI Pinot Noir 'Reserve' 2014

The 2014 Ponzi 'Reserve' Pinot Noir is a thrilling wine by highly talented head winemaker Luisa Ponzi and her winemaking team. This wine was sourced from the Aurora, Abetina and Madrona Vineyards, as well as fruit from Linda Vista, Kason, Zenith and Walnut Ridge Vineyards. This gorgeous Pinot opens with a bouquet of black cherry, black raspberry, wild strawberry and black tea. This leads to rich and ripe flavors of blood orange with red cherry, candied red raspberry, wild blackberry and suggestions of cran-pomegranate. Lithe and possessing lovely fruit weight, this excellent effort will cellar well into the next decade -- and possibly more. (Best 2017-2028) - March, 2017 (OB)
