The 2013 'Winery Hill' Pinot Noir was aged for 16 months in French oak (56% new) and is another gorgeous release from Domaine Serene in this vintage. After some extended air contact, this is finally aroused, releasing pretty aromatics of forest floor, seaweed, white truffle and suggestions of candied red cherries. The palate is round and plush, delivering red fruit flavors of red cherries, red raspberries, citrus peel, nutmeg and cremini mushroom. The velvety mouthfeel leads to an exceedingly long finish. Overall, this is an absolutely brilliant effort from winemaker Erik Kramer. (Best 2016-2030) - November, 2016 (OB)
