Named after the 1842 census of the original Oregon Territory, the original document made reference to a group of settlers as '60 Souls'. The 2014 60 Souls Pinot Noir is a gorgeous wine release from a great vintage. Sourced primarily from the Johnson Vineyard, as well as the Briscoe Vineyard, the Stermer Vineyard, the Redford Vineyard, and the Muska Vineyard, this wine was aged for 10 months in neutral French oak prior to bottling. This dark colored wine begins with dense aromas of red cherry, black truffle and forest floor with suggestions of nutmeg. This leads to bright flavors of red cherry, cranberry, tangerine rind and hints of cardamom. This lithe and delicious wine has nice weight and will cellar beautifully into the next decade.
