The 2014 King Estate Pinot Gris is a lovely showing from this estate. Coming from a warm vintage the Pinot Gris was aged 4 months sur lie prior to bottling and weighs in at 13.5% alcohol. This wine begins with aromatics of white peach, grapefruit blossom, orange zest and hints of lime. There are flavors of bright pear, Meyer lemon rind, Pazzaz apple and cantaloupe. This shows notable richness from this warm, near perfect vintage. Despite the rich flavors, the mineral backbone is evident. (Best 2016-2022) - August, 2016 (OB)
