BIG TABLE FARM Pinot Noir, Sunnyside Vineyard 2013

The Sunnyside Vineyard is a small, 10 acre, parcel of land that is located in a warmer climate, south of Salem. Wädenswil and 777 clones are planted here. These berries were picked before the torrential rains at harvest and you can taste the richness from what was a warm vintage prior to the inclement weather. The Pinot Noir begins with a bouquet of red raspberry, lavender, black truffle oil and forest floor. Lovely Burgundian nice to this wine. Flavors of pomegranate, guava, stewed strawberry and black cherry persist. Gorgeous, yet delicate wine here with the structure to cellar for a decade or more. Hard to resist now but this is one that is made for the cellar. (Best 2016-2027) - January, 2016 (OB)
