DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir 'Oregon' 2009

The Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is a wine that is made from declassified Evenstad Vineyard grapes. You can taste the warmth of the vintage in this wine, just smelling it. There are intense aromas of black cherry, boysenberry and black tea. The dark fruits are a surprise for most Oregon vintages, but 2009 was a warm one. Nice denseness with a mineral backbone that's showing this is needing relative immediate consumption. Flavors of black cherry, black tea, cherry cola and raspberry are intense and delicious. This is the best values from Domaine Serene. (Best 2015-2018) - August, 2015 (OB)
