A single block from the Champoux Vineyard, the 2021 Merlot from Passing Time is another great effort by the team. It’s aged in 65% new French oak and starts off with a bit of flintiness on the nose, but it quickly blows off to notes of black raspberries, dried herbs, anise, dusty road, and hints of grilled ribs. It flows across the tongue with a supple consistency and smooth tannins. Drink this one now or over the next 10 years. Only 75 cases produced.
