A shimmering medium neon ruby core with a light pink rim in the glass, the 2019 Reserve Pinot Noir from Chehalem saw 35% new French oak during aging. Yummy aromas of blue plum, black cherries, toasted vanilla bean, and sweet clove merge wonderfully on the nose, while the palate brings black tea, earthy, and spice notes into play. Acidity is in check, as are the silky smooth tannins. Only 440 cases made.
