SPRING VALLEY Red Wine 'Fredrick' 2013

The 'Fredrick' is Spring Valley’s Left Bank style wine made from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Similar to the other Spring Valley releases, this needs signifigant air contact to unwind. The wine then shows off heady aromatics of sagebrush, black tea, black olive tapenade and blackberry jam. The mouthfeel is exceedingly plush, as the wine has serious weight. Lovely minerality underlines flavors of black fruits which expand through the highly structured finish.
