This mélange of 97% Syrah and just 3% Viognier which gives it some added floral lift on the nose, was aged for 18 months in neutral French oak. Floral, dusty, and briny on the nose with shades of smoked game, the palate offers flavors of pepperoni sticks, crushed black olives, smoked ground black pepper, dried purple flowers, and just a hint of dried grapefruit pith. Tannins are grippy but smooth, while the ample acidity carries the long-lasting and spicy finish. 73 cases were produced.
