K VINTNERS Tempranillo 'El Jefe' 2009

The 2009 El Jefe is densely packed with black fruits, back olive, mineral, smoke, graphite, tomato, and some freshly picked truffle notes as well. Full-bodied, with big velvety tannins and a long supple finish. This is really an awesome wine that constantly evolves in the glass. It is really exciting to see such good Tempranillo based wine to come from Washington State. The blend is 66% Tempranillo, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon. (Drink 2014-2024) - December, 2011 (JD)
