Ripe and bright, the 2017 Saviah Nebbiolo features medium levels of silky tannins, medium acidity and a clear ruby core. From the glass, you detect something special with aromas of underripe thimbleberry, red flowers and anise. The mouthfeel has a bit of a punch to it, with tastes of bright bitter cherry, raspberries, rose petals and tarragon. This is a fun wine from Richard Funk that is getting better every new vintage. Only 60 cases made.
