The 2014 'Benchland Select' Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 21 months in French oak, 64% new. It opens to a lovely mix of ripe red and black fruits, which come together with loam, spices, spring florals and graphite nuances. Full-bodied and well-structured with wonderful opulent texture and outstanding overall poise and balance. Finish is long and beautifully layered with ripe dark fruits lingering on. Overall this is an oustanding Caberent and a total sucess from winemaker Julianne Laks.
