This wonderful Zinfandel is sourced from the gorgeous Varozza Vineyard in St. Helena, which has been farmed by the Varozza family since 1913. The Zinfandel starts with aromatics of cigar box, black cherry, teaberry and coffee ground nuances all taking shape in the glass. There is a lovely seamless quality to this wine, as the silky mouthfeel glides effortlessly across the palate. Boysenberry, black cherry, prune and milk chocolate flavors with a touch of orange rind continue to expand through the wine. While extremely appealing today, this Zinfandel will give drinking pleasure for up to decade. (Best 2017-2027) - August, 2017 (OB)
