PROVENANCE Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2014

The 2014 Provenance Cabernet Sauvignon is an impressive effort from this hot vintage in Napa Valley. Sourced from Rutherford, Provenance has been making this Cabernet wine since their first vintage in 1999. Made in an approachable style, this wine begins with bright aromatics of sweet cherries, black currant and wild raspberry. This has a plush mid-palate mouthfeel, which leads to ripe flavors of pipe tobacco, anise, black cherry syrup and black olive tapenade. The Cabernet wine has a polished tannic backbone and will drink beautifully over the next few years. (Best 2017-2025) - April, 2017 (OB)
