The 2016 Rombauer Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is a fantastic release and a great value buy. This wine was largely aged in steel tanks, while 10% was aged in used French oak. Showing an intense bouquet of jalapeño pepper, white flowers, kiwi and freshly cut lime on the nose, backed by steely mid-palate minerality. This leads to bright flavors of unripe pear, kumquat, white peach, white rose and hints of starfruit continue to on through the bright finish. (Best 2017-2022) - April, 2017 (OB)
