LONG MEADOW RANCH Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2012

The 2012 Long Meadow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon has 7% Petite Sirah blended in and is an excellent effort the vintage. The wine was aged in 50% new French oak prior to bottling and is sourced from their estate vineyard. This Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a bouquet of sagebrush, anise, cassis, black cherries and black olive. There are ripe flavors of anise, cassis, crushed mint and black cherries which continue to weave their way across the palate. The polished mouthfeel and lively structure that lead to a long, cassis driven finish. (Best 2017-2027) - February, 2017 (OB)
