The 2012 Zinfandel from Grgich Hills opens with lovely aromas of cherries, raspberry and plum, which come together with peppery spices, earthy tones and hints of forrest floor. Beautifully round and richly textured backed by a nice touch of underlying acidity that leads up to the spice-tinged finish. A lovely Zinfandel that is accessible now, but will also develop nicely over the next few years. (Best 2016-2022) - March, 2016 (OB)
