The 2012 'Reserve' Chardonnay from Cakebread Cellars is a lovely showing, offering pretty notes of lemon, tropical fruits, vanilla, white floral, crushed almonds and a dusty mineral character which are all woven together beautifully. This possesses a gorgeous layered texture with excellent balance that impresses all the way through the seamless finish. Overall an excellent Chardonnay which is showing excellent right now.
