PEJU Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2012

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Peju is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Syrah, 1% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec. It delivers aromas of ripe blackberries and black cherries woven together with mocha, spices, anise, cocoa powder and toasted hazelnuts. It possesses a full body with polished tannins and just enough acidity for balance. The finish is long and supple leaving behind a mouthful of juicy dark fruits, mocha and sweet spices lingering on. Approachable now and very delicious. Aged 60% french oak and 40% american oak, 40% new. (Best 2015-2022) - January, 2014 (JD)
