The 2011 Cornerstone Cellars ‘The Cornerstone’ is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5%Cabernet Franc from the Oakville Station Vineyard. This immediately bursts open with aromas of black cherries and cassis, followed by mocha, sweet spices and a savory dried herb character. The full body is wrapped in round polished tannins and remains nicely structured through the long, supple, finish. Winemaker Craig Camp has done a phenomenal job displaying the elegant characteristics of the vintage while maintaining excellent ripeness and concentration of fruit. Only 100 cases made.
