The 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Cornerstone Cellars opens up with wonderful aromas and flavors of dark cherry, cassis, spices, graphite, mocha and a savory herb character which carry through to the medium-full body. Today the wine is still a bit backwards and shows some signs of the cool vintage conditions. I would recommend allowing this another year or so in bottle to soften up a bit before approaching. The Cabernet is sourced from Kairos Vineyard, Oak Knoll District, Oakville Station, Ink Grade Vineyard, Howell Mountain with 12% Merlot from Oakville Station also making it way into the wine.
