The Cornerstone Cellars Cabernet Franc 'Stepping Stone Cuvée’ is composed of 89% Cabernet Franc and 11% Merlot. It offers aromas which lean more to the savory side, with sweet dark cherries, bell pepper, dusty minerals, spicy florals, pepper and a touch of menthol. On the palate, this is plush, yet racy, while remaining structured all they way into zesty finish, which folds in pepper, spices and dried herbs to linger. There is nice potential here and it could be approached early on if allowed extended air contact, but ultimately it will require a few more years in bottle. (Best 2016-2021) - June, 2014 (JD)
