The 2008 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Jeff Gordon Cellars is sourced from two different mountain vineyards on opposite sides of the valley. One being the Stagecoach Vineyard; located on the rocky, volcanic soils of Atlas Peak and the other being Corbett: which sits on a rocky hillside in the Spring Mountain appellation. This Cabernet is made in a delicious, crowd-pleasing style that delivers aromas and flavors of black cherries, cassis, spices, vanilla, mocha and anise. On the palate it is full-bodied, round and supple with dark fruits and spices weaving their way through the wine. This is showing well right now and it does not look as if this will require any additional bottle age, however those looking to hold it for a few more years should not have any worries.
