The 2011 Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon brings aromas of blackberries and cherries along with mocha, spices and leather with hints of fresh cut violets and earthy minerals. It’s well balanced, offering a mouthful of concentrated fruits which lead up to the finish that is filled with dark cherries, chocolate and anise. This is already showing lots of character and looks like it will also evolve nicely over the next 5-10 years. In 2011 there were small amounts of Syrah, Petite Sirah Zinfandel, Petit Verdot and Merlot resulting in a final blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 6% Petite Sirah, 4% Zinfandel, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot.
