A bold, ripe, juicy Syrah with lots of generous upfront fruit. Intense aromas of dark plum and blueberry reduction immediately followed by smoke, licorice, caramelized sugar and hints of spice. This has power, concentration and wonderful integrated soft caressing tannins. The finish is persistent, even picking up some subtle hints of mineral as it chugs along. There is no denying this modern style Syrah is flat-out delicious. The 75% Syrah, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot spent 16 months in American oak, 25% new.
