The 2009 Merlot from Pahlmeyer is nothing less than outstanding. Delivering a generous dosage of fresh blackberry, sweet cassis, herbs along with coffee and spices. This has an amazing soft velvety texture and finishes up really long with lots of flavors lingering on and on. Composed with 89% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Pahlmeyer Waters Ranch & Rancho Chimiles. The wine was aged in 80% new French Oak for 18 Months, It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
