APERTURE Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ‘Oliver Ranch Vineyard’ 2019

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aging for 22 months in 80% new French oak barrels, make up the 2019 Oliver Ranch Vineyard from Aperture. Sporting a stunning glimmering deep purple core with a neon red rim, this is a serious, captivating, and enchanting bottle of Cab. Winemaker Jesse Katz has quickly become one of my favorite winemakers not only in Sonoma but all of California. Candied blackberries, crushed black cherries, toasted anise, cedary herbs, grilled ribs, pink peppercorn, and cigar box are all present on the nose and on the palate. Mouthwatering acidity pairs with the crunchy and present tannins and produces a finish that literally goes on for minutes. I loved the sweet chocolate-covered cherry and earthy tones I get on the mid-palate. Approximately 380 cases produced. Highly recommended.
