The 2021 Revel Pinot Noir from Shea sees 38% new French oak for 9 months and presents a glimmering medium ruby core with a silvery rim in the glass. Crushed black raspberries, wild blueberries, and Meyer lemon peel merge with shades of dried lavender, cinnamon sticks, and cedary herbs. Lemony acidity tames the rounded tannins and brings a wonderful red-fruit-forward finish on the mid-palate. Only 180 cases made. Highly recommended.
