The 2021 Wadenswil by Furioso is all destemmed fruit and spends 10 months in neutral French oak. A light to medium ruby-purple core leads to a silvery rim in the glass. Lovely notes of boysenberry, crushed cherries, dusty earth, Earl Gray tea, and shades of caramel are all present and wonderfully combined on the nose. An aspect of white pepper merges perfectly with the red and blue fruit finish, which gifts perfectly integrated sweet, silky smooth tannins and perfect levels of acidity. Only 150 cases were made.
