DU COEUR Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton ‘Kalita Vineyard’ 2019

Finally, the 2019 Kalita Vineyard Pinot Noir from Du Coeur also sees 15% new French oak barrels for a period of 10 months and is my favorite from the 2019 line-up. Showcasing a neon medium garnet core with a light blue rim in the glass, it has just a touch more balance and finesse than its siblings. Bountiful notes of black cherry, huckleberry, ground cinnamon, dried violet flower, and a bit of tilled earth combine beautifully in the mouth. Rounded sweet tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a supple mouthfeel complete the wine.
