CHAPPELLET Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 'Pritchard Hill' 2010

2013 Top 100 - Rank # 19
The 2010 ‘Pritchard Hill’ Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet is an opulent, voluptuous and layered wine, which brings seductive aromas and flavors of ripe black cherries, cassis, spices, herbs, mocha along with some graphite and dusty minerals. This is impeccably balanced and the soft, polished tannins are absolutely gorgeous and well integrated into the wine. A mouthful of juicy dark mountain fruit explodes onto the long finish, which leaves behind more notes of dusty minerals, mocha and spices. This is another remarkable, not to mention flat out delicious, Pritchard Hill that will be approachable early on, yet also age beautifully in the cellar. (Best 2015-2030) – November, 2013 (JD)
