Manchester Ridge sits at an elevation of 2,000 feet (400 feet above the fog line). The Chardonnay is picked early and press straight to French oak barrels and ferments with native yeast and is never stirred. The result is a beautifully textured and aromatic wine with notes of orchard fruits, citrus zest, jasmine, flint and macadamia all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this shows excellent weight with remarkable balance and wonderful minerality at its core, which expands seamlessly through the finish. This is another simply sensational wine from Samantha Sheehan, which is already showing extremely well. (Best 2017-2024) - March, 2017 (JD)
