This Pinot Noir from Navarro is made via "ancient method" where maceration is performed manually via hand punchdowns, as opposed to a mechanical pump. The result is a dense, grippy nucleus with aromas of concentrated cranberry, cloves and wet stone. Palate is fruit forward with intense plum, dark cherries and a touch of spice which continue on through the finish. This is accessible now, however it can be held for a few years.
