RENWOOD Zinfandel 'Old Vine' 2013

The 2013 Renwood 'Old Vine' Zinfandel is an excellent effort from this estate. This Amador county bottling was sourced from vines between 40-80 years of age and was aged 16 months in French oak prior to bottling. The wine begins with aromas of prune, sage, wild blackberry and stewed strawberry. This leads to medium weight flavors of red cherry, red currant, blackberry pie and prune. This is forward and delicious straight out of the bottle.(Best 2016-2021) - April, 2016 (OB)
