LUTUM Pinot Noir, Durell Vineyard 2014

This fantastic Pinot Noir comes from the Durell Vineyard and is made from 100% 667 Dijon clone, which comes from the top of the north section of the Vineyard where the vines are planted to soils rich in volcanic ash. The wine itself is simply gorgeous, offering fantastic aromas of dark cherry, cranberry, exotic spice, florals and as this continues to open it adds in notes of red berries, plum and earthy aromas. On the palate this is silky and well balanced with lots of red berries and red fruits cascading over on to the finish. This one surely needs another year or so of bottle age and can be enjoyed over the next decade plus. (Best 2017-2027) - May, 2016 (MD)
