PATZ & HALL Pinot Noir, Jenkins Ranch 2014

The 2014 Jenkins Ranch is another simply outstanding Pinot Noir from Patz and Hall. Jenkins Ranch is an 18-acre property situated on rolling hills at an elevation of approximately 400 feet and planted to planted to Dijon selections 667 and 777. The wine itself instantly impresses with complex sweet and savory aromas of black raspberries and ripe black plums which come together with spices and dried violets adding in hints of orange zest and freshly ground coffee. On the palate this is displays a rich and velvety texture with wonderful balance and finesse. Everything comes together seamlessly on the beautiful round, finish which is laced with ripe fruits and zesty spices. 10% whole clusters; 100% Malo-lactic fermentation in barrel; 60% new Burgundian French oak barrels; Bottled without fining or filtration.
