The 2012 Red Car Sonoma Coast Chardonnay comes from 4 different vineyards across the Sonoma Coast (45% Weeks, 33% Ritchie, 11% Hawk Hill, and Zephyr Farms). It has a pretty nose of lime, tangerine, white flowers, chalky tones, fresh mineral, smoke and a lovely topnote of orange zest. On the palate the wine is very smooth, with a rich texture and wonderful focus, complemented by a great core of acidity and fresh fruit, which all wraps together into a velvety finish.
