COBB Pinot Noir ‘Coastlands Vineyard’ 2010

The Coastlands Vineyard is the original planting of Cobb Wines, and contains some of the oldest (20-year-old) pinot noir vines on the Sonoma Coast. The 2010 from Ross Cobb is sensational, this Pinot Noir comes from two sections of Coastlands Vineyard; the Old Firs block and the ocean-facing 1906 block. It delivers aromas of fresh berries followed by strawberry spices, dried flowers, earthy soil, black tea, incense and wet stones. This possesses wonderful balance, and a gorgeous velvety texture. The finish lingers with lots of fresh red fruit and lively acidity. Downright delicious, and showing beautiful right now. (Best 2014-2025) - March, 2014 (MD)
