SOLISTE Pinot Noir 'Sonatera Vineyard, T Block' 2010

The Sonatera Vineyard is located near Sebastopol on the Sonoma coast. Soliste started producing their Monoclone Pinot Noirs in 2009. This Monoclone, Dijon 777, was harvested at midnight and field sorted. It was aged 11 months in 100% French Oak (25% new). The nose is very elegant with lovely aromas of strawberry and black cherries followed by green bean, earthiness, dusty minerals, cut grass, and exotic spices. This displays wonderful depth, power and elegance across the palate, which is layered with dark fruits, sour cherry and gorgeous minerality. The finish is long and leaves you wanting more. Drink it now or cellar it for 10-15 years. (Best 2015-2028) - March, 2014 (MD)
