A blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon that is aged for 18 months in 60% new French oak barrels, the Malbec actually comes from the famed Quintessence Vineyard on Red Mountain and gives it some of that telltale Red Mountain notes. It’s dark and inky in the glass with a fluorescent neon rim. This stunning effort grabs your attention with dark cherry, dried blueberry, desert sage, smoked cinnamon, violet flower, and sandy earth. Medium-high acidity frames and a medium body frames the lengthy finish.
