The 2013 Lauren Ashton Cabernet Sauvignon is an intense and dense wine made by the talented Dr. Kit Singh. This sensational Cabernet was sourced from the Ambassador and Quintessence Vineyards in Red Mountain. As it begins to open it releases gorgeous aromatics of sandalwood, black cherries, black olives, milk chocolate and suggestions of baking spices aromatics. This wine has a wonderful minerality and poise with flavors of black cherry, black olive, baking spices, and boysenberry preseves. The mid-palate weight is really lovely. Dr. Singh mentioned that it was challenging not to make the wine too massive, so he did some early pressing and the results seem to have paid off, however try to give this another year for the tannins to settle and for the fruit to further amalgamate.
