The Los Alamos Vineyard Pinot Noir is a sensational effort from Gavin Chanin in 2015. As this begins to unwind, it releases seductive aromas of wild strawberries, pomegranate, fresh green herbs, smoke, crushed rock and fresh roses, which are blended together with hints of exotic spices, underlined by earthy nuances. This is even more impressive for its overall balance, elegance and precision, along with the combination of beautiful red fruits, which are framed by gorgeous soft tannins. Today, this is already quite attractive, however it only begins to show its true potential after extended contact with air. Nonetheless, a stunning wine which will continue to flourish over the next decade. (Best 2019-2030) - July, 2017 (MD)
