The 'Dead Horse' is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon with lesser parts Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot This Red Mountain Cabernet bottling opens with aromas of sandalwood, crème de cassis, black cherry syrup and coffee grounds. The mouthfeel is plush, as this delicious Cabernet shows off black cherry, wild blackberry cobbler and crème de cassis flavors that sit alongside silky tannins and a strong structure. I expect this to continue to drink well over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - October, 2017 (OB)
