Smoke, red cherry and lavender aromatics coat the glass. The texture and balance here is lovely, as the wine reveals red cherry cough syrup, cloves, prune and suggestions of baking spices. The balance is excellent from this warm vintage. While a bit on the lean side, this drinks beautifully right now. (Best 2017-2023) - July, 2017 (OB)
