The 2014 'Kentucky Derby' Red Wine is an interesting blend of 50% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Franc, 2% Barbera from the Columbia Valley. This opens to a highly perfumed bouquet of black cherries, sweet pipe tobacco, black olives and suggestions of rasins. On the palate this wine displays nicely concentrated flavors of black cherry syrup, black plums, milk chocolate aling with with baking spices delivered through delivers a medium body which is supporded by a round texture.
