The 2014 Betz Family Wines 'Père de Famille' Red Wine is a stunning effort from Bob Betz composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon with 11% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, which was primarily sourced from Red Mountain. This begins with dense and decadent aromatics, currently displaying ripe black cherries, blackberry compote, coffee grounds and hints of black pepper. The mouthfeel is gorgeous, with flavors of black cherries, anise, crème de cassis and mocha accents. Brooding and intense, this wine will have a wonderful future ahead.
